Chinese animation industry has gone through a series of revolution in the past decade.Before the last decade,Chinese animation still lingers in the old school traditional animes,which does not rely on Computer Generated Images at all.And Japanese animes had taken a large percent of market share in China.Almost all of the Chinese youth prefer Japanese animes to Chinese counterparts.
But we've seen a rapid growth of Chinese animation in these years that China has applied CGI technology to most of the animation making.The traditional paper-cutting animation or hand drawn animation has been thrown away in the history.There are a bunch of successful anime movies and TV series,including "The pleasant goat and the big big wolf".These successes suggest that in order for Chinese animation industry to leap forward,technology and creative ideas are two essential elements.We have to rely on the constantly growing technology of CGI to make the images more attractive and give a vast amount of details.We also need our own story to tell.A good animation always need a good story to tell.Chinese playwrighters have to come up with new and good ideas.
