But in Afghanistan,the civilian director of the Kandahar airport Nasir Khan said there had been no bomb threat or hijacking and the plane had been refused permission to land in Urumqi for an unclear technical reason.
“There was no bomb threat or hijacking,” he said.
The plane,carrying more than 200 passengers including five Chinese,was on a maiden Kam Air flight from Kabul to Urumqi,officials said.
Zamarai Kamgar,president of Kam Airlines,said at a press conference in Kabul yesterday that no bomb was found on the plane.
He suspected the bomb claim was made up by some of the airline’s competitors.
Kam Air was founded in 2003 as Afghanistan’s first private commercial airline.

In June,McLeod was arrested by Tybee Island Police on charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction when he tried to breach a security perimeter around the movie set,the New York Daily News reported.
But he was released after a day in custody because of jail overcrowding,a move that was criticized by local media and lawmakers.
In March,the New York Daily News shot video of McLeod waiting at a book-signing appearance by Cyrus in Manhattan in New York City when he said he was her No.1 fan.
