1）定语从句的关系词（that）代替先行词the news,在定语从句中充当一定的成分.
即：that he told her
= he told her that
= he told her the news
told her the news即tell sb sth的结构.
2）如果是用that引导的同位语从句,则that既不是代替中心词the news,也不能在从句中充当成分.
而该从句he told her中明显还缺少一个宾语,即tell sb sth中的sth.
再如：We all know the news that he married her yesterday.
我们都知道昨天他娶了她的消息.
其中he married her yesterday是一个完整的句子,并不缺少成分,也不能将the news代入其中.
