对的要去掉
where引导一个定语从句,其先行词是place地方,where相当于in this place,即已经包含了in的意思,所以从句中不应该再有in,否则一个句子用了两次in重复了
This is the place where the snake lives.
= This is the place in which the snake lives.

需要去掉， where 前面不要介词

话说，很多多余的也。
直接This is where the smake lives.就可以表达意思了。
this is where已经指明是这个地方了,所以the place就是重复，但是你要重复也没关系，但是本人讲英语就是力求简短拉。
in也不需要。lives本身就代表住在里面了。
