An old woman had a cat.The cat was very old; she could not run quickly,and she could not bite,because she was so old.One day the old cat saw a mouse; she jumped and caught the mouse.But she could not bite it; so the mouse got out of her mouth and ran away,because the cat could not bite it.
Then the old woman became very angry because the cat had not killed the mouse.She began to hit the cat.The cat said,"Do not hit your old servant.I have worked for you for many years,and I would work for you still,but I am too old.Do not be unkind to the old,but remember what good work the old did when they were young."

I read a story called The Old Cat.Then I thought a lot.
I reminded of many young men who don't take care of their parents.They think that their parents can't do any things which are useful for them like the old woman in the story.So they take a bad attitude to their parents.Besides,I thought that we shouldn't treat the men who once made a contribution but can't do nothing now like the old woman in the story.I also understand now I should take a kind attitude toward the people who once helped me.It is wrong you are kind to the people only when you need them.

From the short story,we must understand that we shouldn‘t cast away the people who once helped us a lot.We should learn to take care of them when they cannot support themselves.
Though the story is about a cat,in fact,it tells us that humanbeings must be thankful for others' help.
